Green turtle returns to Oman to nest after 29 years

Muscat: A green turtle has returned to the shores of the Sultanate after 29 years to nest in the turtle reserve in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, Environment Authority said.

A statement issued online by the Environment Authority said: “After 29 years, a green turtle returns to the shores of the Sultanate to nest in the turtle reserve in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, where it was first recorded in 1991 by the authority’s employees.” Source- Times of Oman
