marriage is a formal union of man and women, by which they become husband and wife. Even in mature age, it is hard to keep marriage work then what is the result of child marriage.
Child is the time where we play, laugh, spend times with friends, go to school and without any tension we just play. But the memory that we could make in child is being stolen by leading us to marriage. It is said that the grandfather of boy child use to measure his height in stick and go far a walk to find any child girl he use to measure her height in that same stick and when it matches; he go to talk to her parents and when they yes, child marriage happens. Child marriage has destroy every child dream.
It is the age to play with friends not to get marry with random one. Despite improved literacy, Nepal still has the third highest rate of child marriage in south Asia.The country has committed to end child marriage by 2030, raised the minimum age of marriage to 20 in 2018 civil code. Even arranging a child marriage or marrying a child is punishable by imprisonment and fines, which depend on the age and gender of the child involved.
After all this as well, child marriage has not stopped. The area where this awareness has not reached, child marriage is still happening. The age in which they themselves don’t know about marriage, they are force to do that marriage. Even after all this marriage, they are force to have child. How could a immature mother can take care of her child and family? the one who get to married she should do whole household works, even when she does not know how to do all the things. So, to end this, we citizens should also help government by raising awareness and running campaign about child marriage and punishment of it.
