UAE to grant golden residency cards for 10-year period

Muscat: The UAE will grant a golden residency card for a period of 10 years to PhD holders, doctors, distinguished students, and some other specialities, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) has announced.

According to WAM, the residency card includes top score school students in the country with their families.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, said, “We approved today the granting of golden residency to residents for a period of 10 years for all holders of PhD degrees, all doctors, and engineers in the fields of computer engineering, electronics, programming, electricity and biotechnology, and graduates outperform the accredited universities in the country at a grade 3.8 and more.”

“Golden residency card will also be granted to holders of specialized degrees in artificial intelligence, big data, or epidemiology and viruses, in addition to the top score school students in the country with their families. This is the first batch that will be followed by batches.” Source-Times of Oman
